Murderer Set to Face Parole Board Tuesday





The Flathead County Attorney will ask a parole board to keep a murderer behind bars. 

59 year old JR Fletcher will face a parole board at the Montana State Prision tomorrow. 
Fletcher, from Oklahoma, was convicted in the 1979 murder of a Polebridge man.
He was sentenced to serve 100 years in prison for stabbing 72 year old Roy Cooper ro death. In April of 1979, Fletcher and two others were attempting to flee to Canada when their truck got stuck in front of Cooper's driveway. WHen Cooper tried to help the trio, they took him hostage, robbed, tortured, and eventually killed him.

The Flathead County Attorney will travel to Deer Lodge for the hearing. We will let you know what happens.
