Butte -- A group of Butte middle schoolers inspired by the film "Butte, America" are getting ready to make their own documentaries, and will have one of the Mining City's most famous film makers to help do it.
Pam Roberts directed the film " Butte, America." Friday, she visited with twenty-four budding film makers at the Butte Public Library.
Roberts fielded questions from the middle schoolers about how documentaries are made.
"The fact that these kids are doing this project is like a dream come true for Ed (Dobb) and I " said Roberts.
Her visit was part of the "Share Your Story" digital film project at the BSB Library.
The students will be working on a series of short films that pick up where "Butte, America" left off.
Middle schooler Anvie Palhei said, " I am excited, because it's knid of fun to go out there and do new stuff."
Stories will cover anything from ghosts to Clark Park. The project runs from November to May.
