Ravalli County Commissioners listedned to two more Environmental Assessments for proposed airport changes.
Both involved moving the runway to create more space between the active runway and the taxiway. And both ultimately included lengthening the runway by a thousand feet.
And that lengthening has a group of citizens upset and worried their small community could begin to see bigger and more aircrafts coming through.
Pilots say the additional footage will make the airport safer.
The plans did not include changing the weight rating for the runway, which is a major factor when deciding what planes can use the airport.
Right now, there are now commercially scheduled flights. Only charter flights and privately owned aircraft using the facility.
