Victims of Alleged Ponzi Scheme to Get Restitution

Victims of an alleged ponzi scheme in Kalispell will get their money back.

Montana investors who fell victim to the scheme will get more than $1 million dollars in resitution from LPL Financial Corporation. The company settled with the Montana Department of Securities after a former LPL representative allegedly operated a ponzi scheme in Kalispell. Donald Chouinard is accused of committing securities fruad and scheming Montana and Idaho investors in what they thought was a day trading program.

It is important to note that LPL financial did not admit or deny any of the allegations as part of the settlement. However, they believed it was best to resolve the situation for the customers. But, this doesn't resolve claims against Chouinard. The Montana Department of Securities is still investigating his case.
