Elections Across Western Montana

Tuesday's Election Day and voters across Western Montana are getting ready to make some critical decisions.

In Missoula, five of the six City Council seats are contested.
Mayor John Engen and Judge Donald Louden are running unopposed.
Also unopposed is Jon Wilkins in Ward 4.

Before Tuesday, Missoula's already seen 27 percent of the ballots returned.
The election is entirely vote-by-mail. Ballots are due back by eight Tuesday night.
Post marks won't work.

They must be dropped off at one of nine locations:

  • Cold Springs School
  • Courthouse
  • Fairgrounds
  • Hellgate School
  • Lowell School
  • Paxson School
  • Rattlesnake School
  • Russell School
  • Seeley Lake School

In Kalispell, incumbent Mayor Pam Kennedy is running against Tammi Fisher.
There are also two contested council positions.
Kalispell voters are also being asked to approve two school levies.
Kalispell residents can cast their votes at the Flathead County Fairgrounds.

Whitefish, like Missoula, is holding a vote-by-mail election.
There are three city council seats being contested.
Ballots can be returned to the Whitefish City Hall or the County Elections Department in Kalispell.

In Columbia Falls, voters will cast ballots for Mayor and three city council spots.
