Missoula County Budget Preview

Missoula County department heads are being asked to do more with less. The county's budget will be unveiled on Wednesday to the county commission and it includes a 3% budget cut for all departments.
Andrew Czorny, the Chief Financial Officer of the county, said We're not drawing down reserves for ongoing expenses. So financially, we're in pretty good shape right now. So that gives us a little breathing room in providing the services to the level they've seen in the past."
The county has already cut the equivalent of 10 full time jobs. Those cuts are mainly in departments that are financed by user fees. Czorny went on to say that overall the county is in pretty good shape financially.
