The Today show flew a Missoula man all the way to New Jersey to say a simple thank you. Virginia Fawcett and her students sew pillows for soldiers. One of those pillows reached Joe Rahn in 2005 while he was serving in Iraq. The pillow reminded Rahn of his kids, so he sent Fawcett a thank you note. Sveral years later a reporter caught a glimpse of Rahn's note while working on a story about Fawcett. Last week she tracked him down, and brought the two together for the first time. And today Rahn told us it's a once in a lifetime opportunity he wouldn't trade for anything.
